Ferrari didn’t trouble the top end of the timesheets on the first day of 2020 Formula 1 testing at Barcelona.
Given how its performances this time last year created so much false hope, perhaps reading much into its pace in testing is unwise.
But our first chance to get up close with the SF1000 to compare it to Ferrari’s F1 rivals has raised questions, as has the fact the team appears to be taking a different approach to testing after the confusion of early 2019.
